The Japanese Honda has lasted five days as a Portimonense player. As reported by the web Maisfutebol, the japanese player has reached an agreement with the Portuguese club to disband. The decision arises from a bureaucratic problem that prevents the registration of the Japanese in the Portuguese league.
The Portuguese market closed on February 1, the same as the Spanish, but Honda was unveiled on February 6 because he was a free player, after leaving Botafogo in December. However, according to the statutes of the Portuguese league and federation, in order to be registered once the winter market was over, it should have been without equipment since October.
Maisfutebol also ensures that the error is the fault of a misinterpretation of the statutes made by the agent of the Japanese footballer. So, given that he cannot play until next season, Honda has decided to mutually terminate his contract with Portimonense.
