“He’s about as bad as Hitler”: Colby Covington, a Trump fan, says it again about Edwards’ murdered father.

“He’s about as bad as Hitler”: Colby Covington, a Trump fan, says it again about Edwards’ murdered father.

After losing by unanimous decision to welterweight champion Leon Edwards (22-3 MMA, 14-2 UFC) in the main event of UFC 296 last Saturday, Colby Covington (17-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) first said he lost because the three judges had biases against him because he supported Donald Trump.

Trump and Kid Rock, another right-wing conspiracy theorist, were in the crowd as guests of UFC CEO Dana White.

Then he got more attention when he claimed he broke his leg in the first 30 seconds of the fight with Edwards.

On the same show, he chose to say it again about the thing that made Edwards the angstiest during fight week.

When Edward was 13, his father was killed in London. According to comments Edwards has given in the past, his father did some bad things in Jamaica, where they were born, and when they moved to the U.K.

Covington told the press before the fight that he would destroy Edwards and added, “We’ll say hello to your dad’s family while we’re there.” Edwards hit Covington with a water bottle, and the two of them had to be split up.

In later interviews, Covington didn’t back down from saying that Edwards’ father was a part of a gang, a drug dealer, and a criminal. He also said that he didn’t feel bad about being killed because the victim was a bad person.

That was the first thing he said when asked if he was really comparing Edwards’ father to Adolf Hitler. He said that he was just “that same level of bad guy” as Hitler.

From 1921 until he killed himself in 1945, Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party in Germany.

When Germany invaded Poland in 1939, it started World War II. Hitler was the main person responsible for planning the Holocaust, a mass murder that killed more than 6 million Jews and other minorities over the course of several years.

When asked, almost everyone in the MMA world over UFC 296 fight week said that Covington’s words were already too far.

It’s unlikely that the new Hitler parallel will persuade any of those critics to change their minds.

Askren thought Covington (17-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) would do better, but he thinks Edwards’ (22-3 MMA, 14-2 UFC) dangerous hitting may have had something to do with it.

Askren told Middle Easy, “I don’t know what his plan was.” “I believe the best way for him to win was to use cardio, get takedowns, and stay on top, which is exactly what he did in the fifth round.”

But Leon may have said something like, “I’m going to give up this round; I won this fight.” He did what he did, and I don’t think it was the right thing to do. It looked like he was scared of Leon’s strikes because he stayed away and never got into the game.

“Even in those later fights where they fought by grappling, Leon proved to be more than strong.”

There were times when I think he was too pushy or maybe too sure of himself, which put him in a bad spot. I really wish Leon had turned that up at some point.

I believe everyone who saw the fight thought he was the better fighter. However, it seems like he could have hit a lot more blows and strikes if he had really pushed it. He was happy to win and not take over.
