Eden Hazard, captain of the national team Belgium and attacker of Real Madrid, has been chosen “icon” of the last 125 years of football in his country, announced the Federation.
Hazard, who debuted with the Belgian senior team against Luxembourg on November 19, 2008, aged 17 years and 316 days, at the start of an international career that has led the “Red Devils” to third place in the Russia World Cup 2018, was the most voted by Belgian fans to win the award “125 Years Ultimate Icon“.
The former player of Lille and from Chelsea, who has just turned 30 years old, obtained 10.6% of the votes and was ranked ahead of the former international and current coach of the Anderlecht, Vincent Kompany (9.4%), and also the international and midfielder of the Manchester City Kevin de Bruyne (9.1%).
