AL RAYYAN (QATAR), 22 Nov. (dpa/EP) –
The Japan coach, Hajime Moriyasu, has shown all his respect for Germany on Tuesday, rival in his World Cup debut in Qatar this Wednesday (2:00 p.m.), being a team that he considers “a role model”, with the team Japan “still developing”.
“Germany is a role model for us, that has never changed. Japan, on the other hand, is still developing,” Moriyasu said at the press conference prior to the game against the Teutons, which will be played at the Khalifa International Stadium.
The Japanese team, Spain’s rival in this Group E on the last day of the group stage, set itself the round of 16 “or even more” as its objective. “That would mean that we have history,” the coach wished.
Finally, Moriyasu did not want to give clues about the eleven ‘samurais’ chosen for the World Cup debut, in a team with Take Kubo as representative of LaLiga Santander. “Tomorrow you will see the alignment. We will try to win and to win we have chosen an initial alignment with which we believe we have options”, he concluded.
