Guillamón: “We are going to leave Valencia where it deserves”

The central defender of Valencia Hugo Guillamón was convinced that with the mix of youth and experience that the squad has, they will be able to finish the League in a position that reflects the history of the club.

“We are a young team. Veterans help us. We really want and we will leave Valencia CF where it deserves. Despite not finding the results we wanted, we are going to continue working, “he said in statements to the club's media.

The center-back said they were “very happy” after winning 4-1 at Real Madrid at the Mestalla and stressed that they maintained the confidence they have in their game even when Madrid went ahead.

“From minute 1 to 90 the team has been focused. We have worked a lot, we have helped each other among our colleagues and we have three points that will come in handy ”, he said.

Guillamón regretted that the club's supporters could not experience the triumph at Mestalla. “We all would have loved to have the fans here. From home we also feel their support, but we want them to be able to be there ”, he pointed out.

The center-back pointed out that the team has a lot of confidence in Carlos Soler as a penalty taker and assured that “he deserves” to have scored the three that the team had in that clash.

The Valencia youth squad will hardly have time to enjoy the victory with his teammates because he has been claimed by the U21 team. “There is almost no time to enjoy this victory. The team deserves it and now they are also going to enjoy the national team ”, he concluded.
