Guedes notice to the squad

Gonçalo Guedes bet that the staff of Valencia isolates himself as much as possible from the decisions of the club's board that have caused a divorce with the fans and has been the first to publicly assure that qualifying for the Champions League remains the objective.

“The management has made the decisions that it understands are best for the club and we players have to accept it. We have contracts and we have to do our job regardless of what the leaders of our clubs decide ”, he explained in an interview with Portuguese television TVI.

Guedes pointed out that they want to improve what they did last season and despite the departure of players such as Parejo, Rodrigo, Coquelin, Garay and Ferran Torres, he said that the objective is still to be among the top four and reach the Champions League.

Guedes gives a 'touch' to the squad

“We want to do much better than last season and to qualify for the Champions League, which is the goal. We know that it is not easy but we are going to give everything to achieve it ”, he assured.

The departure of some cracks does not add or reduce responsibility

Guedes admitted that his former teammates “are players who have a great quality” and stated that “it was a great pride to play alongside him.” Asked if these marches give him greater responsibility in the squad, he assured that “with them or is it them, he would give everything to be the best player and play for as long as possible.”

Guedes also commented on the arrival of Javi Gracia to the bench and pointed out that “the new coach brings his ideas of the game and we are all working to achieve the same goal.”
