Pablo Guede met this Monday at La Rosaleda with most of the players that he has had at his command in Malaga during the last two months to convey his assessment of the work carried out in that period and let them know your opinion regarding their future in the blue and white project.
A significant percentage of the footballers who paraded individually through the Argentine coach’s office end their contract with the entity and the vast majority of them will not continue at the club. There are some cases on which Malaga has yet to decide, especially that of Aleix Febas. The club has a purchase option on the midfielder for €350,000 which expires in mid-July. That is one of the many sporting decisions that must be made in the coming weeks at La Rosaleda.
In addition to youth players such as Roberto, Kevin and company, there are currently 13 players with a contract for next year: Ismael Casas, Iván Calero, Juande, Peybernes, Javi Jiménez, Luis Muñoz, Ramón, Genaro, Jozabed, Escassi, Paulino, Chavarría and the already tied Manolo Reina. To all of them we must add the returns of the youth squad Gonzalo, who returns after having a good year in the Badajoz goal (First RFEF), and Cristo, who returns after his loan to Real Sociedad B.
Among the players who have a contract for 2022-23 there are several to be found on the exit ramp. One of them is Peybernesto whom the coach openly communicated that he is not part of his plans for next season. The club will not oppose Paulino’s departure either and the future of players like Pablo Chavarría or Ismael Casas will depend on how the market evolvesboth of the proposals that the footballers manage and of the options that the club finds in their positions to reinforce the squad.
Summer is going to be very busy in Martiricos. There are many fronts open today with a view to preparing the squad and in just over a month the preseason will begin.
