MADRID, 18 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

CV Guaguas and Unicaja Costa de Almería qualified this Saturday for the final of the XLIX Copa del Rey volleyball, which is being played in Leganés (Madrid), thanks to their respective triumphs against Cisneros Alter Tenerife (25-27, 29-27, 17-25, 12-25) and against Conectabalear CV Manacor (25-22, 13-25, 17-25, 20-25).

In the first semi-final, the Almerians came back against an opponent who had been more solid in the final stretch of the first set. Unicaja's reaction was led by the offensive success of Matthew Kneaves, who with 24 points was once again the top scorer of the match. Carlos Carreño's pupils will seek to win their twelfth Copa del Rey.

Their opponent this Sunday (5:00 p.m.) in the title match will be Guaguas, after smiling in the island derby. The Gran Canarian team acted as leaders of the Men's Super League, putting on their overalls to beat the Tenerife team, in a match where the presence of Jean Pascal Diedhiou, the points of Walla Bezerra and the strength of the bench led by Sergio Miguel Camarero stood out.
