Atlético de Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann gave a positive assessment of the first friendly of the preseason this Thursday, against Team K-League, the star team of South Korean football, although the 2-3 defeat was “a shame”, with the team willing to get “in tune as quickly as possible”.
“It’s the first game, we want to start the games. It’s a pity the defeat but I think it’s fine, run, make efforts, up and back,” he said in statements to the rojiblanco club’s media after the World Cup match Cup Stadium in Seoul, where Atlético saw themselves come from behind in the last five minutes.
The Frenchman was confident that, after the physical work, he would start to get up to speed with the games. “Now, to rest well and we have another game on Sunday. Very hot, very humid, but there is no excuse. We want to get in tune as quickly as possible and go through this,” he said.
In addition, Griezmann celebrated the great reception in Seoul. “The stadium was almost full, it’s an honor and a pleasure for us to play here and have so many Korean fans.
