The American athlete Grant Fisher has broken the world record of 5,000 meters on the track covered in the BU David Hemery Valentine International de Boston (United States), which ends the 21 -year reign of the Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele.
Fisher, a double Olympic bronze medalist and who also beat the world record of 3,000 meters on track covered in New York, added another plusmarca in a test in which he surpassed the Frenchman Jimmy Gressier after spending half of the route.
