The Granada-Athletic match, a reissue of the last Copa del Rey semifinal, will open LaLiga Santander 2020/21, on Friday, September 11 from 9:00 p.m., according to the program of the day announced by LaLiga this Tuesday.
The initial date of the tournament will not be played complete, since the Atlético de Madrid-Sevilla (to January 12), Real Madrid-Getafe and Barcelona-Elche (February-March 2021) matches have been postponed due to having played European competitions in August all of them except the Elche team, who achieved promotion after winning the promotion.
LaLiga also specifies that Monday and Friday matches have been scheduled to attend “the precautionary measures agreed by the Order of the Provincial Court of Madrid of June 1, 2020, which are still in force.”
As for the second day, the matches Athletic-Barcelona (to January 6, 2021), Levante-Atlético de Madrid and Seville-Elche (to February-March 2021) are also postponed.
