Goretzka: another Alaba case

However, at Bayern they are aware of the interest of several great Europeans in their midfielder (Manchester United would also be interested) for which Herbert Hainer, president of the club, has granted an interview to the German newspaper Spox in which he advises that they are working for the renovation of Goretzka. “We are in good talks with them (with Goretzka and Kimmich),” said the club president. In addition, on the refusals of the German player on the last offers, Hainer sent a message to Madrid: “more conversations can be had to find a solution in the last weeks”. Given the rumors of the departure of important players from the Munich dressing room such as Goretzka and Lewandowski, and the free-form arrival of Alaba to the capital of Spain, Bayern do not want the same to happen with the German midfielder and are working to renew him with the club he joined in the 2018-19 campaign.

Despite Hainer's optimism, Goretzka has, for the time being, refused to renew with Bayern.
