Goodbye to one of the most iconic presenters


Maria Escario says goodbye to TVE. The journalist, one of the most emblematic presenters of the public channel, He retires after 40 years working for the Corporationa time in which he has been on almost all editions of the Telediarios and has broadcast all kinds of sporting events, including several Olympic Games.

Rosa María Molló, new Ombudsman as of September

Rosa María Molló (Lleida, 1963) will return to RTVE as Hearing Defender Molló has been a member of the Catalan Audiovisual Council for two and a half years, and is currently the Vice-President of the Catalan Audiovisual Council. She has hosted news programmes and has been a correspondent in the United States (2003-2008), Asia-Pacific (2009-2010) and the Middle East (2010-2012). As a reporter, she has also covered various armed conflicts, such as the war in Afghanistan (2001) and the revolutions in Egypt, Libya and Syria (2010-2012).

In January 2019 she returned to RTVE as coordinator of Cultural Transformation and Strategic HR Projects. In September of the same year she joined Weekly report as a presenter. In June 2020 she was appointed Director of Corporate Communications and Image at RTVE.

In February 2022 it was elected member of the Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC)the highest regulatory authority in the audiovisual media sector, of which she has been vice president from March 2022 to the present. As a member of the CAC, she has been part of the team responsible for supervising compliance with regulations on audiovisual media and advertising by providers, both in the public and private sectors in Catalonia. In addition to assigning frequencies to broadcasters, protecting consumers, resolving conflicts and safeguarding the protection of rights, information, pluralism, neutrality, as well as free competition in the market. She has also been responsible for the research and innovation area of ​​the regulatory body.

She has combined journalism with team management and organizational change, a task to which she fully dedicated herself between 2013-2019, during which time she worked for an international management agency. She is co-author of the book ‘Leaders of Change that Matter: How to adopt and adapt new realities’. Certified in Intercultural Studies and Communication by UBC, Vancouver, Canada, and in Emotional and Social Intelligence by ISEI in Denver, Colorado, she also has accredited studies for people performance and leadership.
