Gloria Lomana breaks down in an emotional letter after the death of her husband, Josep Piqué: “Another day of infinite emptiness”

It was the own Gloria Lomana who reported a little over a week ago, throught social mediaof the sad news of the death of her husband, the former minister Jose Pique, with only 68 years after a long illness. “His integrity, strength, love for family, work and life will always be with us,” he wrote in a tweet.

Now, the journalist has wanted to share with all her Instagram followers an emotional letter in which she pays tribute to the head of Industry and Foreign Affairs at the time of Jose Maria Aznar as Prime Minister.

“On this new day of mourning and infinite emptiness for the loss of the love of my life, Josep, I want to thank you for so many messages of love and respect with a beautiful photo of our last international trip,” begins the text of the former director of Antena 3 Noticias, along with an image of both of them embracing with the sea in the background.

“He went to the Galapagos Islands, absolute immersion in nature and knowledge of the evolution of the species. We were fascinated by seeing endless animal and plant species that do not exist anywhere in the world. He had already been in more than 140 countries and he liked that I enjoyed our trips together so much,” he says.

“Today I have the memories, the luck of having shared my life with an exceptional being, of unwavering integrity, a militant of life until the last breath. And I have the task of continuing his legacy, dignifying myself day by day with work , as he did and liked me to do”, he recalls nostalgically.

“‘Don’t let anyone tell you how you should suffer, ignore the shortest distance, the most vertical line, wander, expand to the sides…’, I read in the Max Porter book that my daughter brought me for when you go being able to – he advises me. ‘Mourning is that thing with wings’, is the title. I don’t know when I will be able to read it, I just know that there is a part of my mourning that I will not let fly because I want it with me, forever”, concludes the widow of Josep Piqué.
