MADRID, 21 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The striker Cristian Portugués ‘Portu’ will play for Getafe for the next three seasons, after the ‘azulón’ club has made effective the purchase option for the footballer, until now owned by Real Sociedad, according to a statement on Monday.
“Getafe has agreed with Real Sociedad to make effective the purchase option it had for Cristian Portugués ‘Portu’. The Murcian footballer signs with the entity for the next three seasons,” the Madrid team reported on its website.
Thus, the ‘azulón’ team confirmed its second reinforcement for the 2023-2024 season, after announcing the continuity of central defender Omar Alderete, also by activating the purchase option included in the footballer’s loan contract.
Portu played, not always in its natural demarcation, a total of 37 games between the League and the Copa del Rey during the course that has just ended, distributing 4 assists.
Real Sociedad said goodbye to the player, “loved” by the Reale Arena, through a statement in which he valued his “delivery and honor”. The striker played 137 games as a ‘txuri-urdin’, converting a total of 18 goals. “Now he is embarking on a new stage in which we wish him the best. Thanks for everything, Portu,” he concluded.
