Getafe and Real Madrid have already talked about Luka Jovic and the negotiations may end in the loan of the 24-year-old Serbian striker at the Coliseum for one season. The play has arisen from rebound but it’s about to happen.
Getafe was interested in Borja Mayoral and president Ángel Torres told Real Madrid his intention to sign the Madrid striker, who this season has played for Getafe since January on loan from Roma. In that negotiation, Real Madrid offered the azulón president the possibility of acquiring the services of Luka Jovic, with whom Ancelotti does not have. Instead, the Italian coach wants to give Borja Mayoral a new opportunity, who will do the preseason with Real Madrid and, at the end of it, his future will be decided: if he stays at Madrid or is transferred.
The main drawback for Jovic to end up at the Coliseum is the player’s high record, which receives 10 million euros per season. Getafe will not pay that amountd for his transfer, so it will have to be Real Madrid who takes care of a good part of the salary. Otherwise, there will be no operation.
Real Madrid paid 63 million to Eintracht for Jovic, and signed him a contract until 2025. Madrid, which has already removed the chips from Bale, Isco and Marcelo, hopes to continue reducing costs to face future signings.
