German rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl claimed her second gold medal at the Paris Olympics on Sunday after winning the individual dressage final, 24 hours after winning the gold medal for her country, and repeating her victory from three years ago in Tokyo.
Von Bredow-Werndl, 38, won on Dalera with a total of 90.093 points, to finish ahead of her compatriot and legend Isabell Werth, who scored 89.614 on Wendy to claim her 14th Olympic medal, eight gold and six silver. Bronze went to Britain’s Charlotte Fry on Glamourdale (88.971).
