Germany increases its favoritism at the expense of Denmark

MADRID, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German national team has risen to the top of Group B of the European Championship in England, in which Spain is also found, after thrashing Denmark (4-0) on Friday in its debut at the continental event, and presents its firm candidacy to raise his ninth European wound.

Two shots to the crossbar before the quarter of an hour, both coming from the boots of Felicitas Rauch, warned of the intentions of the Germans, clear dominators of a duel in which they neutralized any Danish attack action.

The prize for the insistence of the ‘Mannschaft’ came in the 21st minute, when Lina Magull recovered a ball in the area to take an impossible shot for Christensen. The Scandinavian goal, however, was able to make up for it by disrupting two clear scoring chances for Lea Schüller before the break.

The Bayern Munich striker was able to find a door after the restart, all thanks to a header that took advantage of Christensen’s poor start (min. 57).

Lena Lattwein increased the lead in the 78th minute and Alexandra Popp joined the scoring fest in the 86th, before the match official left Denmark one down after showing Kathrine Moller Kühl the second yellow card. With this, Germany sealed the most convincing performance of the entire tournament.
