German Daniel Farke, a former Norwich English coach, was today appointed coach of Krasnodar, fifth-placed in the Russian league.
“Daniel Farke signed a contract with Krasnodar that will be valid until June 30, 2024,” the southern Russian club reported on its website.
He will replace the Belarusian Victor Goncharenko on the “bulls” bench, who was fired during the winter break due to discrepancies with the board.
The 45-year-old German served as coach at Norwich from 2017 until November last year.
Farke came to Norwich from the Borussia Dortmund affiliate and has since achieved two promotions to the honorary division of English football.
The Russian league, which was interrupted in December, will resume competition at the end of February.
