German rider Christian Kukuk, riding Checker 47, won the gold medal in the individual show jumping competition at the Paris Olympic Games on Tuesday after a competitive final.
Kukuk finished his ride without penalties alongside Swiss rider Steve Guerdat (‘Dynamix de Belheme’) and Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten (‘Beauville Z’), but then beat them both in the jump-off to give his country its fourth gold medal in the sport at Paris 2024.
