Gennaro Gattuso leaves Valencia

MADRID, 30 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Italian coach Gennaro Gattuso has ended his time as coach of Valencia CF after agreeing his departure “by mutual agreement” with the entity, the Valencian club announced on Monday, which has also reported that Salvador González ‘Voro’ will become charge of the next training session of the ‘che’ team.

“Valencia CF announces that this Monday the club and the coach of the first team, Gennaro Gattuso, have decided by mutual agreement to end the contractual relationship that united the Italian coach with the VCF,” the Mestalla entity reported. “The club wants to thank the coach for his commitment and work in these months in charge of the first team and wish him good luck in his future,” he added.

The Valencian team is currently fourteenth in the LaLiga Santander table with 20 points, 11 behind the European places and only one above the relegation zone. Eliminated in the Copa del Rey by Athletic Club, the team has accumulated four league games without winning -three defeats and one draw-, the last of which fell at the last minute against Real Valladolid (1-0).

On the other hand, Valencia has reported that the ‘che’ box will return to training this Tuesday under the orders of ‘Voro’ González, who has taken charge of the team up to seven times after the successive dismissals of the different coaches Valencianistas between 2008 and 2021.
