Generali HC Palau de Plegamans and Telecable HC will meet this Sunday in the grand final of the Iberdrola Queen’s Cup in Calafell after beating Esneca Fraga (0-2) and CP Vila-sana (4-2) this Saturday, in the XVII edition of the cup competition.
In the first ‘semi’, Generali Palau took the lead at the end of the first half through Aina Florenza. In the second act, Berta Busquets’ goal with 15 minutes remaining sealed the clash and progress to the third final followed by Palau de Plegamans.
Later, Telecable HC surpassed CP Vila-sana with doubles from the Spanish internationals Sara Roces and Marta Piquero. Julieta Fernandez’s goals did not help the team from Lleida to qualify for the first final in its history.
