Gender violence complaint is filed

While Daniel Sanchowho just celebrated his 30th birthday in Koh Samui prison, is still waiting to hear his sentence for the alleged premeditated murder and dismemberment of Edwin Arrieta, his parents Rodolfo Sancho y Silvia Bronchalo become news.

As reported by Marcos García Montes’ law firm through a statement, the judge has dismissed the complaint for gender violence that Daniel’s mother filed against the actor last February accusing him of “insult and humiliate her” in several messages in which he called her “crazy” o “unable“.

Although Rodolfo had already defended his innocence before the media – assuring that this type of accusation does a disservice to people who suffer gender violence – the courts ruled in his favour this Friday, as the judge in charge of the case had not seen any evidence to prove the abuse that Silvia had reported.

The filing of the complaint is also justified by other statements that leave no room for doubt, such as that “nIt has not been proven that Mr. Sancho uses insulting or derogatory expressions about the complainant in any of the messages provided…“, also highlighting that the complainant has not specified when the alleged harassment took place nor has she provided the full content of the messages that Rodolfo allegedly sent her.

For the judge, the interpreter’s way of expressing himself is justified by the “context of maximum tension“that both Silvia and he were going through after the arrest of their son Daniel for the alleged murder of the Colombian surgeon.
