Luis García Plaza, coach of Mallorcaexpressed this Wednesday his “surprise and disappointment” for what in his opinion was “the worst first part” of his team throughout the season in the defeat (0-2) against the Real society at the Son Moix stadium.
“We didn’t start badly. We had seven good minutes, but afterwards it was the most disappointing thing so far in the league, and it’s difficult to explain,” he said. Garcia Plaza.
“We had an important talk at half-time and the team reacted and did what we had to do, but when you give away football, like the first 45 minutes, in the end you pay for it,” he added.
The Mallorcan coach admitted the superiority of the Real: “They are good. That first goal is only made by (David) Silva and (Mikel) Merino, we don’t have players like that,” he said.
According Garcia Plaza, “when a bad day for an inferior team is combined with a great day for a superior team, this happens”. The truth is that I didn’t expect what happened to us in the first half, it was a surprise for me, that’s the word, even more so when we had four good games. Now we have to continue, we are still five points from the relegation zone and the suffering will be long”, assured the vermilion coach.
