French ex-football player and coach Christophe Galtier will be this Monday in the training of the Paris Saint-Germainwith whom he is expected to sign a contract “only for two years” at the beginning of this week, according to the sports newspaper L’Équipe.
The manager visited the club’s facility on Thursday morning before heading to his native Côte d’Azur to formalize his move to Paris.
The parties agreed to seal the contract once the PSG management and Mauricio Pochettino agreed to leave the Argentine, which finally happened on Thursday afternoon with the payment of 10 million euros.
According to L’Équipe, Galtier was no longer in Paris when Pochettino made his departure official but is expected in the capital on Monday morning, when the club returns to training.
Regarding the contract, the sports newspaper advances that there has been a modification and that, at the request of the French coach, the option of a third year has disappeared from the writing for two years and nothing more.
Galtier will be presented at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday, according to L’Équipe, although the club has not yet confirmed these dates. Before that, he will have the opportunity to meet the players, except for the international players who will join training later as they have an extra week off.
