Atlético de Madrid legend Paulo Futre expressed his admiration for João Felix on Cadena SER. After the great performance of the Portuguese against Granada, Futre is very excited: “He's a genius, every time he passes the ball through his feet, the ball is happy. This year we won't see João for 15 or 20 minutes without touching the ball”. Futre believes that with Luis Suárez he makes “a perfect couple”, and when asked about the comparison with Ansu Fati, the former player settles the debate: “I'll stay with João. The golden boy is different. He will fight for the golden ball within very little”.
In statements to The spar, by Manu Carreño, highlighted the debut of Uruguayan Luis Suárez, who scored two goals and gave an assist: “How does he care, he looks like a child, he's made a kid, but what does he eat!” With the brand new signing of the former Barcelona, Atlético wins a goal. So much so that Futre thinks about the most: “Atlético can compete face to face for all titles. With Simeone everything is possible.”
The arrival of Suárez coincided with the departure of Álvaro Morata to Juventus. Futre comes out in defense of the Madrilenian: “I, in Morata's place, would have done the same. His best year was at Juve.”
