From Sonsoles Ónega to Piqueras or Marlaska: this was the last goodbye to Lorenzo Díaz

Friends and family went to the Tres Cantos funeral home this Wednesday to say goodbye to the journalist and sociologist. Lorenzo Diaz, died at 79 years old. Well-known people from the world of communication and politics have wrapped up their children Lorenzo and Berta (the result of his relationship with Concha García Campoy) and his 'widow', Magdalena Valerio.

The former Minister of Labor of Pedro Sánchez has been closely accompanied throughout the morning and has received condolences from colleagues such as the Minister of Defense, Grande-Marlaskathe former vice president María Teresa Fernández de la Vega o Dolores Delgadoprosecutor of the Supreme Court and wife of Baltasar Garzón.

Journalist, sociologist and food critic, Lorenzo Díaz was a great reference in the world of communication. He was also one of the most emblematic voices of Onda Cero and his career was recognized with two Ondas awards, three Golden Antennas, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Award, the National Gastronomy Award and the Award for the best book on communication. His son, who said goodbye to him this Tuesday with an emotional message through social networks, said a few words: “He left in peace, he left calmly, he left without suffering, which was super important for us. And now to watch over him, to say goodbye, to receive his friends, who for him were his life. Holding on to the moment a little bit, which is not easy. But, well, for him we will try to do the best we can.”
