Francos appears this afternoon to explain the next measures of the CSD against Rubiales

The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Víctor Francos, will appear at a press conference this Monday, starting at 6:30 p.m., at the Government Sub-delegation in Tarragona, to explain the next steps that the organization will carry out in relation to with the complaint filed against Luis Rubiales, suspended this weekend as president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

“The president of the CSD will explain the next measures that the CSD will adopt in relation to the complaint presented last Friday, referring to possible violations of sports legislation by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales”, advanced the CSD.

The CSD formulated a “reasoned request” this Friday to the Administrative Court of Sports (TAD) because of “a possible violation” of articles 76.1.a of the Sports Law and 14.h of Royal Decree 1591/1992 by Luis Rubiales. The manager was suspended this Saturday by FIFA “on a provisional basis from all football-related activities at the national and international level.”

“The president of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, Jorge Ivan Palacio (Colombia), using the powers granted by article 51 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (CDF), has agreed today to provisionally suspend Mr. Luis Rubiales of all soccer-related activities at the national and international level,” said the highest soccer body worldwide.

This suspension became effective from that same Saturday and “extends for an initial period of 90 days,” according to the statement, “as long as the disciplinary procedure is processed” that said Disciplinary Commission opened on August 24 against Rubiales as a result of his behavior after the final of the women’s World Cup.
