A goal from Denmark’s Andreas Skov Olsen in the 39th minute gave Club Brugge victory at their Jan Breydel stadium. It is also the first title for Belgian coach Carl Hoefkens after taking over from Alfred Schreuder, Ronald Koeman’s assistant at Barça and who will lead Ajax this coming season.
Hoefkens included the new reinforcements in the starting eleven, including Jutglà, who formed an attack alongside Noa Lang before being substituted in the 66th minute. Despite having several chances, the former Barça player did not score this time after scoring six goals in the five pre-season friendlies he has played since his arrival at Bruges.
