Bayern coach Hansi Flick said this Wednesday in the conference prior to the final of the Club World Cup against Tigres this Thursday that he knows that the Mexican team will demand everything from the European champions who will have to give their best.
“I have seen the semifinal and I was impressed with how they played. They have a lot of intensity and a lot of offensive quality on the wings. They will demand everything from us, it will be a difficult match,” warned Flick.
Flick, as is his custom, did not want to advance the line-up, except for the fact that Jérôme Boateng will not be there because he has had to advance his return to Munich for personal reasons (his ex-girlfriend appeared dead a week after the break between the two ).
The objective is naturally to present the best possible team for which, he said, “you have to have players who are used to playing together but also who are physically fresh.”
“I will talk to the players and see what the best solution is. We have time and I don't have to reveal everything now,” he said.
Flick believes that the key this Thursday will be to have the right attitude from the start and take advantage of the opportunities that arise.
“We have to be alert. Tigres play the game well, they are fast on the wings and in the center they have players who score goals. We have to be fully involved in the game from the beginning and take advantage of our chances,” explained the Bayern coach.
“It's always about putting pressure on the opponent and getting the best out of our phases of ball possession. In the semifinal we did well. I have enormous confidence in the team. We have achieved stability in defense. We are at a good level. and well prepared, “added Flick.
