Fernando Alonso: “Silverstone always gives us a lot of adrenaline”

MADRID, 7 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish driver Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) affirmed this Friday that the Silverstone Circuit “always provides a lot of adrenaline” to the cars on the grid, already thinking about the Saturday classification of the Grand Prix of Great Britain, the eleventh round of the World Championship of Formula 1.

“It’s good to be back at Silverstone and competing right next to our Technology Campus road,” Alonso told his team’s official media, after being tenth on British asphalt during the second free practice session.

“This circuit always gives Formula 1 cars a lot of adrenaline. It was very windy today which made it quite tricky, but the car was good. We’ve tried a few things in both sessions and there’s still more to analyze this night”, argued the Asturian pilot.

On the other hand, Alonso assessed the weather conditions forecast for the Saturday session at Silverstone. “Looks like the weather could change tomorrow, so let’s see what conditions we’re up against,” he concluded cautiously.
