Fenerbahce does not give up for the signing of Mesut Özil

Fenerbahce has investigated whether it can convince Mesut Özil for the next campaign. The Turkish club plans to make a great signing to erase bad feelings about the failures of the last two campaigns, but for a player like Özil you have to demand a proposal much larger than the Turkish limit. In addition, Fenerbahce is in trouble because of UEFA's financial rules, and to sign a player he must sell one of his squad.

Nonetheless, Turkish press insists that Fenerbahçe intends to knock on Arsenal's door with a satisfactory offer for both Mesut and the London club. According to local media reports, the turkish club will try to obtain the transfer of the german international, of Turkish origin, committing to pay 3 million euros of his salary, which amounts to more than 7 million in London.

From Özil's point of view, the situation is very clear. The German wants to fulfill his contract, which has one year left, in the Gunners. The midfielder has been at Arsenal for seven seasons and has only played 18 games this season, scoring a goal and giving two assists in those games.
