Felipe VI sends his “best wishes” to Carlos III after his proclamation as king: “May it be a prosperous reign”

Charles III has been formally proclaimed the new King of England this Saturday, September 10, after the death of his mother, Isabel II, at 96 years old. After the ceremony, Philip VI has conveyed his congratulations to the monarch on behalf of the Queen Letizia and the Spanish State.

“Your Majesty, dear Carlos, on this occasion of the proclamation of your accession to the throne, I wish you on my behalf and on behalf of the Government of Spain and its citizens, our sincere congratulations,” reads the statement from the Spanish Royal House.

Likewise, “on this historic day, the vivid memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her beloved mother, remains in our hearts and minds. I would like to convey my best wishes to Your Majesty, for a prosperous and fruitful reign. Reign that will to contribute, in all certainty, to the well-being of the British people and to strengthen the relations, which are already strong, between our two countries and kingdoms”.

Lastly, the son of Juan Carlos I y Mrs. Sofia has also addressed Camilla Parker Bowles: “Queen Letizia and I would like to send Her Majesty and the Queen Consort our personal affection and the guarantees of our deep friendship.”
