Four minutes. It has been the time that it has taken Pedro Sánchez to arrive at the Plaza de Lima, where the parade of the National Holiday Day is celebrated. A delay that has caused the Kings, Felipe VI and Letizia, and his daughter Sofía to wait for him inside the Rolls Royce. It was at 11:04 when Sánchez arrived just to join the greeting line, which welcomed the King and Queen.

The mayor of the city, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, was also there. In the previous minutes, Cuca Gamarra and Santiago Abascal had a long conversation. Together with them, Patxi López, spokesperson for the PSOE, and Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who opens on October 12 as president of the PP.
The ministers of the Government and the presidents of the autonomous communities have attended, except (as in previous years) the Basque lehendakari Íñigo Urkullu; and the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès.

After receiving the military honours, the Head of State, wearing the full dress uniform of the Navy and the Golden Fleece, reviewed the honors battalion of the Royal Guard. During those minutes, the Queen has been very aware of Sofia.
