Before his lunch with the head of state, the Monegasque sovereign went to the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). There, he was present at an act in which his great-great-grandfather, Prince Albert I, sovereign of Monaco from September 10, 1889 to June 26, 1922, was honored.

In 2019, Letizia’s husband received Alberto II as sovereign for the first time in the Zarzuela. It was the beginning of an approach that this Saturday, October 15, has taken a second step after their differences.
