Feijóo and Eva Cárdenas went to the cinema on Saturday to see Napoleon, Ridley Scott’s latest release

Alberto Núñez Feijóo and his girlfriend, the businesswoman Eva Cardenas, mother of their son Albertiño, took advantage of this weekend to disconnect. The opposition leader and the former Inditex board went to the cinema together on Saturday afternoon, around eight, to see Napoleon. The former president of the Xunta de Galicia and his wife chose a cinema on Fuencarral Street in Madrid to see the premiere of Ridley Scott, director of masterpieces like Blade Runner, Alien, Thelma y Louise o Gladiator. The president of the Popular Party and his wife, who left in a taxi after finishing the film, chose to see the feature film starring Joaquin Phoenix (Bonaparte) and Vanessa Kirby (Josefina) in original version in English. On Friday, just one day before, Feijóo ate in the booth of the El Bajío restaurant, on Españoleto Street, in the Chamberí neighborhood.

On July 23, Núñez Feijóo won the elections and was accompanied on the balcony in Génova by his wife, with whom he has lived in Madrid since he took the reins of the party after Pablo Casado left. He has also not stopped supporting him in such important moments as the failed investiture that he entrusted to the king in the first instance after the formation led by Feijóo was the most voted in the last elections. The Galician politician did not obtain, as everyone knows, the presidency of the Government, and Eva Cárdenas was therefore not, as many predicted, the ‘first lady’ as a tenant in the Moncloa Palace, the presidential residence.

The businesswoman and Feijóo met on board a plane in 2009 when Alberto held the position of president of the Xunta de Galicia. Their relationship did not become public until 2013. Three years later they became parents to their son, Albertiño, who is now seven years old. Núñez Feijóo has never confirmed his marriage: “A wedding is a pain,” said the opposition leader.

Eva Cárdenas works as an advisor to the Galician ceramics firm Sargadelos, but when she began her courtship with Feijóo, four years older than her, she worked as director of Zara Home, during the time of Pablo Isla. Cárdenas studied Economics in Santiago de Compostela, but the capital of Spain was a very familiar city for her because she completed a master’s degree in Business Management and Administration at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, which she passed with distinction, according to Linkedin. Before being signed by the textile giant founded by Amancio Ortega, she worked at Kraft and L’Oréal.

A daughter from a previous relationship

Eva Cárdenas is the mother of a daughter from a previous relationship. Gabriela is 22 years old, and currently runs a real estate agency specializing in rentals with her mother. “I want to start over, I want to go back to living with fewer resources, to have the adrenaline of the beginning,” she told ‘La Voz de Galicia’ when they launched her. Núñez Feijóo told her in her famous interview with Bertín Osborne on television that he is madly in love with her. “She is so generous that I know I am not fair. In the end, a top-level board did not need a guy like me at all and was living much better before meeting me. She has given up, for the child’s sake, being the president of a company,” declared the politician.
