FC Barcelona will submit the sponsorship agreement with the streaming audio platform Spotify for ratification, and for which the stadium will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou, at the General Assembly to be held on April 3, the first telematics of his story, announced this Thursday the Barça club in a statement.
Barça’s Board of Directors announced last Tuesday the long-term strategic collaboration agreement with Spotify whereby the audio platform will become the main sponsor, and will appear on the front of the match and training shirts of the men’s football team and female from the 2022-23 season.
The collaboration also includes the Swedish company becoming a ‘Title Partner’ of the stadium, which will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou. The agreement, approved and signed by the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, is subject to the ratification of the Extraordinary Assembly of Undertaking Members, which will take place on April 3 in telematic format.
This decision will be voted on in the first telematic Assembly in the entity’s history, after the experience of the Referendum for the financing of Espai Barça, which was also held telematically, with significant participation and without any incident.
A total of 4,478 committing members are summoned on April 3, a date that coincides with the FC Barcelona-Sevilla match in LaLiga Santander, at 10:00 a.m., in the first call, and at 10:30 a.m., in the second.
Despite being an Assembly that will take place online, the venue for the event will be the Auditori 1899 and will have a limited face-to-face representation that will be made up of the entire Board of Directors, the Síndic del Soci and the members of the Statutory Commissions , who are part of the set of committing partners.
All those who attend in person and have the right to vote, including members of the Board of Directors, must also do so electronically from terminals installed in the same auditorium.
