The midfielder Oriol Romeu will play for FC Barcelona for the next three seasons after the Blaugrana club made his transfer official, coming from Girona FC, and that the former Blaugrana player in lower categories will have a clause of 400 million euros.
“FC Barcelona and Girona FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Oriol Romeu. The player will sign a contract with the club for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2026, and the clause is set at 400 million euros,” the Blaugrana club announced.
Romeu, a La Masia youth squad who left the club in 2011 to play for Chelsea, Valencia, Stuttgart, Southampton and Girona, returns ‘home’ to reinforce the midfield and an ‘orphan’ midfielder position for Sergio Busquets, now at Inter Miami.
