The Board of Directors has made the decision in the face of the “significant” increase in the IPC with an impact on the price of the season ticket
BARCELONA, 13 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
FC Barcelona has decided this Wednesday to postpone the collection of the Camp Nou season tickets for this season, which was scheduled for this Thursday, due to the “current economic context” and the “significant” increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) with an impact on the price of cards for the 2022/23 season.
“The Board has considered that it is necessary to try to mitigate this impact on the economy of the paying members and for this reason it has begun to work on installment payment options in a way that favors and facilitates the financing of this expense,” explained the club after the meeting in Olot prior to the first pre-season friendly.
In this way, the Catalan team will offer the possibility of splitting the payment of the membership subscription scheduled for the beginning of 2023. “It must be taken into account that there are families that have more than one subscription and that the collection in a single payment supposes a important expense right now,” he said.
Thus, the collection will not be passed on to subscribers this Thursday, as had been announced, and it will take time to establish a system that allows the installment payment option to be adjusted “with complete security and agility.”
