Facundo Medina, center-back of the French Racing Club de Lens and Olympic international with Argentina, was arrested this Sunday on suspicion of attacking his former partner on Christmas night, according to L’Équipe.

Medina, 22 years old and a starter at Lens (ninth classified in the French First), has denied the accusations and assured that it was his former partner who attacked him.

The young woman, whose age and nationality was not disclosed, filed a complaint after being prescribed a one-day sick leave. The events would have taken place in the player’s apartment in the city of Arras (northern France).

Lens has not yet ruled on this fact that involves the former defense of Talleres de Córdoba and River Plate.
