Fabio Quartararo: “I want to be world champion again”

MADRID, 23 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The French MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) confessed this Wednesday that he wants to “become world champion again”, although he does not want his professional career in the World Championship to be “very long”, at the same time that he acknowledged that he was not “one hundred percent mentally” in the first part of the season.

“We have had difficulties, especially in the evolution of the bike. Mentally I was not one hundred percent. You go from fighting for a championship to a ‘Top 10’. Mentally it was very difficult for me. That’s why I want this second part face in a slightly different way”, analyzed the Frenchman in an interview with DAZN collected by Europa Press.

However, ‘El diablo’ looks to the future with optimism, because he wants to “enjoy” on the bike for the results to arrive. “If I have finished eighth and I know that I have given 100 per cent, I will be happy with the result,” he said of that change in mentality.

“The desire I have to win a race again impacts me. Not even talking about a championship, but winning a race. In the end that is what motivates me to be here in MotoGP,” Quartararo confessed, before insisting in which he wants to win his second World title, after the one won in 2021. “I don’t want to have a very long career, but I am clear that I want to be world champion again,” he settled.
