The First RFEF will remain with nineteen teams for the remainder of the season. The strike called by the Extremadura UD players has not been lifted and the squad has not traveled to Ferrol to play the clash scheduled for five o’clock this Saturday. This is the second non-appearance of the Almendralejo team this season, so the club will be excluded from the competition.
This brings us to the end of a true sports soap opera that has kept the Barça fans and the workers of the Almendralejo team in suspense since the beginning of the season. A beginning that was already surrounded by controversy and false promises that now comes to an end in the worst possible way. The team will not be able to continue competing and the competition will be conditioned between now and the end of the season.
But beware, the story does not end here. The expulsion of the team only puts an end to the sports part, since the non-sports part will still have a long way to gothough it seems short. The club has filed an appeal within the allowed period, and although its content is unknown, the move once again allows the president to extend the times and paralyze the liquidation of the sports corporation.
It must be remembered that the exclusion of the team due to a double failure to appear entails the loss of a single category. Which means that if the money arrives in this new period that opens, it would allow the company to continue without having activity, but to be able to start the next season from the Second RFEF.
