Evenepoel repeats success in the Klasikoa with his powerful sprint against Bilbao

Third Clásica de San Sebastián in the record of the current world champion

MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) repeated his victory this Saturday in the 42nd edition of the Donostiako Klasikoa – Clásica de San Sebastián, thanks to his victorious sprint against the Spanish Pello Bilbao (Bahrain-Victorious), thus making his attack when there were still 72.8 kilometers to go to reach the finish line.

In the 230.3 kilometers that the route through ‘La Bella Easo’ and its surroundings had, the current world champion linked this success with his triumph in 2022. Not surprisingly, Evenepoel dominated the last edition with a solo exhibition, something that a cast of high-level rivals intended to avoid in this 2023.
