Eukene Larrarte debuts in the World Cup with the goal set in the omnium

The Spanish cyclist Eukene Larrarte made her debut this Friday in the ‘Super World Cup’ that is taking place in Glasgow (Scotland), where, in para-cycling, Ricardo Ten is leading the omniun.

The Basque, who faces the omnium as a great objective seeking to get the Olympic qualification back on track, showed herself at a good level in a scratch in which she tried in the final laps. On the fourth day of the track modality, the European runner-up finished 22nd, letting go already in the last lap.

The morning began at the Chris Hoy velodrome with the women’s team pursuit qualifier, in which the national team made up of Tania Calvo, Laura Rodríguez, Isabella Escalera and Isabel Ferreres finished in 13th place with a time of 4:30.764.

In the Para-cycling World Championship Ricardo Ten, his pursuit world champion on Thursday, continued his journey in the omnium with a good third place in the 200-meter dash, a position that places him as the overall leader tied at 76 points with second and third place.

In the 200 meters of the C2 omnium, Luis Arcega and Maurice Ekhard were 12th and 14th, while Julio Bermejo (C4) finished 19th in the kilometer qualifying. In addition, the tandem of Christian Venge and Eloy Teruel also took part in the morning session, 20th in the kilometer time trial with a time of 1:08.048.
