Eubanks, Cerúndolo, Keys and Siniakova triumph on the grass on the eve of Wimbledon

The American Christopher Eubanks and the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo, in ATP tournaments in Mallorca and Eastbourne, as well as the also American Madison Keys and the Czech Katerina Siniakova, in WTA tournaments in Eastbourne and Bad Homburg, won these respective titles on grass and in the eve of the start, at Wimbledon, of the third ‘Grand Slam’ of the tennis season.

At the Mallorca Championships, Christopher Eubanks beat Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 6-1, 6-4 in the final, after a match that lasted 62 minutes. The Atlanta-born tennis player took advantage of his powerful serve, hitting up to 11 aces and exceeding 60 throughout this ATP 250 event, to dominate the final duel from start to finish.

For the final in Eastbourne (United Kingdom), at the same ATP 250 level, Francisco Cerúndolo beat American Tommy Paul 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 in one hour and 51 minutes. In the women’s singles draw, in her case at the WTA 500 level, Madison Keys defeated Russian Daria Kasatkina 6-2, 7-6(13) to win the title in one hour and 44 minutes.

Meanwhile, at the WTA 250 in Bad Homburg (Germany), Katerina Siniakova beat the Italian Lucia Bronzetti 6-2, 7-6(5) in one hour and 38 minutes. In this way, all the finalists hurried their set-up for the third ‘big’ of the year, the highlight of the grass calendar and which starts on July 3.
