Espanyol 'returns' to the previous shirt and is inspired by Massana

Espanyol will present at the end of next week, before playing against Nàstic de Tarragona the first friendly of the preseason, the new Kelme shirts for the return to First Division. The first kit will be practically identical to that of the 2019-20 campaign, the second will be red and is inspired by that of the Massana brand that dressed the parakeet team from 1986 to 1989, with that unforgettable European trip that ended in drama in Leverkusen; while the away kit will be dark blue, a shade that the club has already used in other seasons.

The first jersey maintains the same structure as that of the 2019-20 campaign, made by the Kelme brand. A blue stripe in the central part where Riviera Maya will be inserted, two white sides with the brand's brand and the Espanyol crest and two other blue ones on the side. The only difference with the shirt in the image will be the collar, where the blue color will predominate, the Reale Seguros advertising on the left sleeve and the gradient of the blue stripes, which will maintain the same figure.

The second shirt is inspired by the Massana brand that wore Espanyol from 1986 to 1989, a period remembered mainly for the UEFA final against Bayer Leverkusen, unfortunately an unfortunate end. The shirt will be red and in the upper part it will have two white stripes and one blue at the height of the shield and touching the neck not horizontally but wavy. Advertising will be in the red part. It is a more modern touch to a classic shirt, much remembered by fans, as seen in the image above.

The third shirt maintains the dark blue colors that have been worn this season although the design changes by having three diagonal stripes on the front of the shirt with a lighter blue than the predominant one, but it maintains a tonality that the entity always uses in some away games during the season. The club will present special shirts for the return to First Division and is convinced that the fans will like them.
