Espanyol B-Andorra postponed for five positives of COVID-19

The premiere of Eder Sarabia must wait at least one day. The match that was to be played this Sunday between Espanyol B and Andorra, from group 3 of Segunda B, has been postponed due to five cases of COVID-19 in the perico club (according to sources consulted), so according to the protocols established by the Spanish Football Federation, the match must be suspended. The news has been made official by the Andorran club although everything transcended on Wednesday. Espanyol also made it official afterwards.

The coach, who this week was introduced in his new position, will debut if there are no more setbacks the following week against the Cornellà (curiously rival cup-bearer of Barcelona's first team tonight) and in two weeks he will visit the Joan Gamper Sports City. In the case of Espanyol B, the next day had rest, so it will have room for players affected by coronavirus to rest.

In the second team of Espanyol B there have already been several cases this season, also in the preseason, when some players who trained with the first team also tested positive. The parakeet first team was one of those that suffered the most from the pandemic the previous season, when up to ten players and members of the coaching staff suffered from the disease.
