Eriksen goes back to training

Christian Eriksen shocked all the spectators of the Eurocup. During Denmark-Finland, the midfielder suffered a heart collapse and had to be revived on the pitch. Players, members of the federations, fans … All those involved spent hours of anguish until it was confirmed that the Dane was out of danger.

Once the most important news was known, they all asked the same question: will we see Eriksen again on the green? For now, and after the installation of an internal defibrillator to avoid new scares, the possibilities are diverse. The still Inter player, Italy does not allow him to practice. For now, and before possible departures, it remains to be seen if he can return with guarantees. It is something that only he knows, but he is already taking steps that point to his return.

As reported by the Danish outlet BT, Christian Eriksen has already been training alone with a personal trainer at the Odense facilities, club of the Danish League and in which he played until 2009 when he went to the Ajax academy. This media assures that the 29-year-old player trained this Wednesday at 8 in the morning. Although his training is focused on the cardiovascular, he is also doing exercises with the ball. Everything he is doing in these facilities near a large villa where he has settled with his partner and two children since what happened last summer.

Speaking to BT, Michael Hemmingsen, Odense sporting director, was happy to have one of his most illustrious youth players around again. “We are very happy that Christian trains at our facilities. We have been in contact with him since he left the club and we are happy that he asked us if he could train here again,” he said.

A possible sale in January

The player is training in Denmark while Inter rethinks his future. Italy will not grant him competitive registration to return to competition and both player and club are aware of the need to leave the Danish so that he can continue his career.

No market value on specialized websites such as Transfermarkt, Inter also publicly doubted about the player’s assessment and his departure seems certainly complicated.

The latest news pointed to a possible termination of his contract until 2024 with a token of 7.5 million euros as the best solution. According to Corriere dello Sport, Ajax, a club in which Eriksen already played and stood out, could be one of his destinations.
