Aston Villa beat (0-2) a Tottenham in crisis
MADRID, 1 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Aston Villa, led by Spanish coach Unai Emery, beat Tottenham Hotspur (0-2) this Sunday on matchday 18 of the Premier, a result that puts pressure on Antonio Conte on the ‘spur’ bench, while Chelsea did not pass of the draw (1-1) against Nottingham Forest and is still far from the important positions.
The ‘villains’ attacked the London fiefdom with goals from Buendía and Douglas Luiz in the second half to continue moving the lower zone away at the hands of Emery. An error by world runner-up Hugo Lloris, in his first match after Qatar 2022, allowed the visitors’ opening goal on 50′.
The group from the capital suffered a new setback, already out of the ‘Top 4’ for access to the Champions League, which begins the buzz about Conte’s position, with two victories in the last seven games. The world champion ‘Dibu’ Martínez, Olsen’s substitute, was not in Villa’s goal.
At the close of matchday 18 this Sunday, Chelsea saw the ‘Champions’ area move away a little further, to seven points, after a draw against the recently promoted Forest. At the City Ground, Sterling put the visitors ahead, quelling the home’s good start with a lucky goal. Aurier gave Forest the award on 63′.
Chelsea had no reaction to avoid a new setback, although in the last minutes they desperately sought to turn without changing the distribution of points that, for Forest, means equalizing in the table with salvation. The ‘blues’ are still far from the upper zone.
