Elisabeth from Belgium graduates supported by her parents and is already preparing for her next destination

An important day was experienced in the Belgian Royal House on Tuesday, July 23. Elisabeth of Belgium has graduated from Oxford. Her parents, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, and her four siblings were present on this very special day for her. The Crown Princess has completed her three-year BA in History and Politics at Lincoln College.

Princess Elisabeth, with her cap in her hand, wore the same uniform as her classmates, who wore a white shirt, black skirt, stockings, high heels and a scarf around their neck. Elisabeth also draped her black gown over her shoulders as she entered the university’s Sheldonian Theatre.

With this ceremony, she has completed the same education that her father did, although the then prince completed his studies at Trinity College. Previously, Elisabeth studied the International Baccalaureate at the same centre as Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, the UWC Atlantic College in Wales.

For this special family day, the graduate’s mother opted for a long-sleeved, pleated dress in fuchsia and vibrant red by the firm Natan. Emmanuel and Eleonore accompanied their sister, while Prince Gabriel did not attend the ceremony. Arm in arm, Emmanuel wore a suit and tie and Eleonore a white dress with green floral motifs by the firm Maje.

After completing her studies at Oxford, the daughter of the Belgian monarchs will begin her new education in the United States. She will attend Harvard University in Boston, where she will study the Master’s in Public Policy, which lasts two years and is taught at the Harvard Kennedy School. Among the princess’s academic news, the Belgian Royal House also announced another achievement by the young heiress: “She was also selected for an ‘Honorary Award’ from the Fulbright Program, the international educational exchange program of the United States Department of State.”
